3 Goal Saving Tips for Busy People
It seems like we never slow down! We are always looking for the next thing, have something to do, are worried about something or any number of things.
Heck, I don’t have kids yet and I can’t imagine what some parents go through taking them from one activity to another and still having time to eat, sleep, or work themselves.
One thing that you can’t afford to do is let your busy schedule keep you from your goals! You can’t allow being busy to keep you fat or out of shape.
It isn’t fair to you or your family. If you are unhealthy and can’t move you aren’t any good to them.
Here are a few tips to keep you on track during the busy summer months.
1) Find little times to stay active. If you are at a ball park or outside playing with the kids be active. Go for walk while Johnny is at practice for baseball, do a park workout with squats, push ups, step ups on a picnic table bench, and planks while he is busy fielding grounders and shagging fly balls. It is all about making the most of your time.
2) Prepare, prepare, prepare. Take one day or evening to get your meals ready and have easy to go meals and snacks. String cheese, almonds, wraps, carrot sticks, celery, Prograde Protein or Lean, and Cliff Builder bars all make for easy meals and snacks without requiring much for keeping them cool. It is all about knowing what obstacles you might face and knowing how to beat them before they catch you off guard.
3) Find a supportive environment. You have to have a support system and that support system should be able to help you find time to better yourself and keep yourself healthy. This might be a good friend, a spouse, a significant other, or a parent. It doesn’t really matter who they are or what exactly they do for you, all that matters is that they help you with you. Have them watch your kids, drop them off so you can workout, bring meals that are supportive for each others health and nutrition to events, etc. The list goes on and on.
Don’t let a crazy summer schedule get in the way of getting great results.
