A Sweet Treat to Welcome the Warmer Weather

Often when I (Bram) have a craving for something sweet, it’s not just the sweet taste I want, it’s also a particular sensation I want to feel. Whether I’m wanting a dessert that’s salty, crunchy, or creamy,  I usually can’t get it off my mind until that craving is satisfied. Here’s the recipe for treat that usually does the job for me. It’s simple, quick and delicious.


  • 2 cups Quick oats
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 2 Tbsp. coconut oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla Extract


  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl, and then scoop out the batter to begin shaping them into a ball with your hands.
  2. Place the balls into the refrigerator for about 20-30 minutes to let them become chilled.
  3. After that they’re ready to eat. Make sure you keep them in the fridge when they’re not being eaten. They will good for up two weeks, but if you’re like me they won’t make it two days.
