Brian:

1)  How long have you been at Force Fitness?
Started Jan 1st, 2011.

2)  What have you accomplished since starting?
So for my first two months I have lost almost 25 lbs.  I am feeling better and I have more energy during the day and sleep better at night.

3)  What are your future goals?
My long term goal is to figure out a way to keep from gaining my weight back.  I have always been lucky and have been able to lose weight but once I reach my goal I lose all control and start gaining it back.  Short term goal is to get to 200lbs.

4) What do you like best about Force Fitness?
I like that fact that there is no tread mill in the place, I have belong to other gyms and it seems like that is the only thing they want you to do.  Also, I like the log book and how it keeps track of my progress during my work outs, it helps me to create mini goals during my work out and the week to improve during the month.

5)  Why did you start coming to Force Fitness?
My bother-in-law works out at Force Fitness and I noticed the success he was having. I was interested in starting to work out again and thought I would give it a try.

6) Were you nervous when you started?  How do you feel now?
The main thing I was nervous about was the warm ups. I had no clue what I was doing, but I have worked out a process to remember them and make sure I get them completed.

7)  What did you do to accomplish your goal?  How days per week?  Nutrition?  Supplements?
I work out 3 times a week and during my off days try to walk the dog or some other activity.
I also weight myself every morning when I get out of bed, I know the experts state not to do this, but it works for me.  If I gain weight I look back at the previous day to see if it’s something I ate or drank that caused the gain.  If I lose weight I also try to figure out what I did the day before and replicate that again to see if it works.  My main suggestion is just to document everything you are doing and when you are successful just replicate that success.

Insert Before and After
1)  How long have you been at Force Fitness?

I have been at Force Fitness since November, so 4 months
2)  What have you accomplished since starting?

I have lost about 22 pounds. I started at a size 16 pants and am now in between a 12 and a 10 pant size. I cannot remember when I was this size before. I want to say it has been about 5 years since I have been this size and weight. I have also noticed that I am regaining confidence in myself and feeling much healthier, physically and mentally. I finally have a passion again.
3)  What are your future goals?

I have been thinking about this a lot recently. My original goal was to be a size 12 and lose 30 pounds. Though I have not reached my weight lose goal, I have reached my size goal, so now I want to be a smaller size. I think that being a size 8 in pants is a nice attainable size goal and a total of 40 pounds lost is where I want to be within the next 6 to 8 months. I did set a little mini-goal, though it may seem silly, I came across my high school junior prom dress and it is a 9/10 so I want to be able to fit in that again. I thought it would be a great confidence booster to be able to fit into the same thing that I wore in high school!!!
4) What do you like best about Force Fitness?

I absolutely love how challenging the workouts are for me, and that I am sore after every workout. As soon as I start getting used to a workout it is time to change and get a new workout, so my body is always surprised, which I truly love about Force. I also really enjoy the staff, as they are all so helpful and make sure that I continue to challenge myself.
5)  Why did you start coming to Force Fitness?

Honestly, I started to come to force fitness because I needed to make a lifestyle change. I was so tired of trying to figure out everything on my own and paying for gym memberships that I never used, and crash diets that never worked. I had heard about Force Fitness from radio advertisements and in just searching gyms in Bloomington. I wanted something that was different from all the other gyms, because I had been to most of them. Once I read a little bit more about the gym and about Ryan’s personal journey, I decided to check into it. An additional bonus was that Wil was a co-owner and the last time that I was in good shape was when I lifted with the Hoosier Weightlifting Club, and Wil and I were both members.
6) Were you nervous when you started?  How do you feel now?

I was really nervous. I have always had a confidence issue, so I was not sure how this would work for me. I have a tendency to talk myself out of things, and end up letting myself down, and I thought that I would fall into that same pattern. I realized shortly after starting at Force, that everyone that comes to the gym is working at improving themselves in some way. I feel amazing now, I didn’t know that I had this in me. I am mentally and physically better than I have been in years. I notice on my off/rest days, that I am starting to feel lazy if I do not do something physical, and I love that feeling.

7)  What did you do to accomplish your goal?  How days per week?  Nutrition?  Supplements?

I really changed my eating habits. I still splurge every once in awhile, but I changed and removed a lot of foods. I know that I am not a person that can have tempting foods in my house, so I just don’t purchase those items. The nutrition part is really the hardest part for me, as I really do not enjoy cooking, but I have at least changed my mindset on what I should be eating. I started taking a daily vitamin and fish oil. I just recently purchased the prograde protein and take that when I need an energy boost or for lunch.
8) How do your friends and family react to your changes?

I have had such positive reactions to my changes. My family has been making comments every time they see me and they tell me how proud they are of my accomplishments. My friends are great and tell me they notice a change in how I carry myself and my attitude. I have only received positivity, which also encourages me to keep going with this new life.
