Homemade Protein Ball Recipe

We all want easy to grab food that we can take on-the-go. These little balls are a nice way to sweeten up your snack. These protein balls are great for snacks, lunches, pre/post workout food, or travel. They are gluten-free, soy-free, and use honey as a sweetener.

You could swap out the chocolate chips for butterscotch chips (like Coach Katie did), coconut flakes, m&m’s, almonds, or other nuts. You could also use another flavor of protein if you prefer. You could also use sunflower seed butter if you have a nut allergy in the house.

Here’s the recipe:

– 1 cup rolled oats

– 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter

– 1/4 cup honey

– 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life Foods Chocolate Chips because they are soy/dairy free)

– 1/2 scoop or 15 grams of vanilla protein powder (I use SFH protein powder)

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions: Mix all ingredients together, and use a melon ball scoop to scoop them into balls, and place them onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 20 minutes if you want them more solid.
