I never thought I’d be someone who loved to work out. The best side effect so far of working out at Force Fitness has been a huge shift in attitude.
I joined Force after my friend, a Bleeding Heartland roller girl, suggested them. I started with the “Scare Your Pants Off” promotion in October 2012, fed up with hearing myself complain that my jeans didn’t fit.
When I started, I was looking to lose a few pounds. I started with three days a week MRT and was instantly hooked.
I noticed the extra strength carried me through my first half marathon that November. I knew, as soon as the month was over, I’d sign up for good.
I adopted a mostly Paleo approach to my diet after being diagnosed with a wheat allergy last spring and have since lost a pants size.
I’ve fallen in love with strength training, and I love the support and knowledge at Force. The coaches are enthusiastic and they take sincere interest in everyone’s fitness journeys. I can lift more weight than I’ve ever attempted before, and I’ve made a shift from wanting to be “thinner” to wanting to be stronger (although it can still be a struggle with my mindset at times.) The coaches have all been very supportive and helpful, and I appreciate that they remember clients by name. My goal is to do a full chin up by the end of this month.
