Congratulations to Mark Winstead for being selected as our Client of the Month!Markw before and after

I heard about Force Fitness thru my wife, Sarah.  She was participating in the Living Lean Challenge and lost 17 pounds in 21 days.  While she was doing this she was encouraging me to do the upcoming Team Transformation Challenge offered in September with her.  I will be honest, I was pretty skeptical of the whole thing, the workouts and the nutrition plan.  I thought that there was no way I could do it.  I did not want to give up certain foods and the thought of group exercise did not sit well with me.  But really, I was afraid of the unknown and not willing to get out of my comfort zone.

I had wanted to lose weight for over four years since the birth of my son, Jonathan.  I had put on a few pounds leading up to his birth with the many trips to the local ice cream shops.  Once he was born, I told myself that I would soon dedicate myself to getting back into shape.  Well, 2 years later my daughter, Addison was born and I was even heavier.  I told myself the same thing but it became harder and harder with work and 2 kids to find the time.  Actually, I had the time but I didn’t have the energy.  At least that was my excuse.  So after 4 years, 2 children, turning 40 years old, and weighing the heaviest I had ever been at 209 pounds, I decided I needed to change.  I wanted to change for my children, my wife, and myself.

So I started the Team Transformation Challenge with the 7am, M-W-F, MRT Boot campers with great nervousness.  But my nerves were quickly settled as I was welcomed into the Force Family by Branden Price, my coach, Todd and Annette Reid, Chris Howell, Gary Tarter, Debbie Stowe Berryhill, and Lauren Rapacki.  We all work hard but we have fun at the same time.  These folks serve as great inspiration and accountability at the same time.  My original goal was to lose 29 pounds in order to be 180 pounds.  At the time, I didn’t know if that was even a realistic goal.  After the first two weeks of working out and changing my eating habits, I was a bear to be around, just ask Sarah, but I lost 9 pounds.  I quickly saw and felt the results of working out and eating healthy.  My attitude completely changed and I was sold on Force Fitness.  I knew that I would be a full time Force Family member at the end of the challenge.

After 5 months of hard work, dedication, support from Sarah and the kids, and the inspiration from Branden and the rest of my Force Family, I have achieved my original goal.  Now I push myself to maintain that goal and to reach for a new one.  I would like to weigh between 172-175 pounds with 10-12% body fat.  Is this realistic?  I do not know but with a new attitude towards health and fitness I feel I can achieve just about anything.  This May I hope to run the One America Mini Marathon in Indianapolis with my best time ever.  Previously, I was only able to walk the race but now I know I am stronger and have more energy.

I feel that my time at Force has been a complete success in my life.  I look forward to all of my sessions and I can’t even imagine my life without Force Fitness and the Force Family.  I appreciate everyone along this journey.  I want to thank Ryan and Will for running a first class operation.  I want to thank Branden Price for having faith in me to achieve my goals and the pain, but in a good way, that I have felt along the way.  NO PAIN NO GAIN!  But most of all, I want to thank Sarah, Jonathan, and Addison for being my true inspiration so that I can be a better husband and father by taking care of myself to be more energetic, strong, and healthy for our future.
